Tasty Grilled Shrimp
Grill like a champ with this easy recipe!
Grilled Shrimp Recipe Ingredients
2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined
3 cloves garlic, minced
⅓ cup olive oil
¼ tomato sauce
2 tbs red wine vinegar
2 tbs fresh basil, chopped
½ tsp salt
¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Grilled Shrimp Recipe Directions
First marinate the shrimp.
Combine all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, and stir to ensure the shrimp is well coated.
Let sit in the fridge for at least half an hour.
An hour or two would be best.
Stir periodically to keep the shrimp covered and marinating.
When ready to grill, thread shrimp on skewers and cook for about 3 minutes on each side.
They should be pink and solid, no longer gray.
Leftover marinade should not be used as a sauce, because of the contact with raw shrimp.
A second batch can be made for that purpose.
